In­form­a­tion on ex­port­ing files and print­ing from the data­bases and elec­tron­ic re­sources at the PC work­sta­tions of the UB

At the library's user workstations, you can email your research results, save them on a USB stick or on the AStA's print server (for a printout).

Save dir­ectly to a USB stick

Using the browser function "Save page as" or the save symbol in PDF documents, you can save your research results and full texts directly to the USB stick.

Save and email via the file man­ager

Please proceed as follows:

  • save the desired results in the temporary directory "Downloads" or "USB memory" as here e.g. data carrier
  • call up the file manager by clicking on the Linux start button
  • mark the desired file (mouse click on the left) and either send it to a mail address with a mouse click on the right and selection of "Send as Mail", or save the file on a USB stick.

Print

Use the Copyclient App of the AStA for printing. 

At the PC workstations in the library, enter your user name and password in this login screen after giving a print command:

Calling up and printing out print files is possible on all printers in the library and on the printers in the AStA Copy Shop. These devices are operated by the AStA of the university. In case of paper jams or other problems, please contact the AStA-Copyservice.
