The newspaper lounge in the entrance area of the library offers a selection of local, national and international daily and weekly newspapers and magazines, including Frankfurter Allgemeine, Frankfurter Rundschau, Handelsblatt, Le monde, Neue Westfälische, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, El país, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Der Tagesspiegel, Die Welt, Westfälisches Volksblatt and Die Zeit.

The newspapers are not collected; the current and the previous year are available. The library has licensed the online editions of some newspapers.
