The public PC workstations at the UB are set to use the library's own intranet as standard. Printing and file export of research results and full texts is possible on all PCs.
In the library's own intranet, only access to the university's web offer is possible without prior registration. This measure is to ensure that the PC workstations are primarily available for research, teaching and studying at Paderborn University. The UB Paderborn also fulfils its obligation to prevent misuse of the internet. After a personal registration with library card number and password you have the possibility to surf the internet freely.
- The library's PC workstations primarily serve to support research, teaching and studies at Paderborn University.
- The library is not responsible for the offers of external providers. Please deregister from services requiring registration, such as freemail accounts, before leaving the Internet PC! Deregistration from the library's Internet PCs does not necessarily mean termination of these services.
- Library card numbers and log-in and log-out times are stored for seven days.
- Misuse can - after examination by the responsible authorities - lead to exclusion from use and to criminal measures.
