As part of an information event for members of the Pressestammtisch Paderborn, Ms Ursula Hlubek will present the university library with a focus on electronic media. She will also be showing some rare books from the library's holdings, such as the "smallest" and the "largest" book.

The University Library will be present with a stand at the "Market of Opportunities" in the main entrance area of the University (near the Service Centre) on Wednesday, 13 October 2010, from 10.00 to 14.00 hrs.

All first-year students are cordially invited to come and find out more. No one should miss out on this opportunity to get to know what some older students have not yet realised in their first week ...

On Sunday, 4 July, 10.00 - 18.00, and Monday, 5 July, 10.00 - 15.00, the 12th Book Bazaar will take place in the Notebook Café in the entrance area of the University Library.

Around 3000 volumes from almost all departments will be on offer.

The proceeds of the book bazaar will be used for the acquisition of new information media.

On Sunday, 4 July, the university will open its doors on the university campus on Warburger Straße and invites all interested parties to get a taste of science.

This year's "Girls' Day - Girls' Future Day" will take place on 22 April 2010.

Paderborn University's varied programme offers girls the opportunity to get to know scientific and engineering professions and degree courses at the university.

The University Library is taking part in this event and is offering two internships from 9.00 to 11.45 a.m. in the profession of "Media and Information Services Specialist, specialising in the library".

Now also for boys! Girls' Day has been giving girls the opportunity to get to know scientific and engineering professions and degree programmes at Paderborn University for years. On 22 April 2010, Paderborn University will also be offering boys in grades 7-12 the opportunity to get a taste of the university atmosphere for the first time under the motto "New Paths for Boys - Boys @ Girls' Day".

The three Rotary Clubs from Paderborn, in cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency, invite you to this year's Paderborn Career Information Day on 30 January 2010 at Paderborn University. In individual events, pupils will be given the opportunity to gain an insight into various professions on campus. The Paderborn University Library is taking part in the event as part of the presentation of careers in bookselling/publishing/library.

On Tuesday, 19 January, a book bazaar will take place in the University Library from 10.00 to 18.00 in the group study room of the Business, Economics and Social Sciences Library (Level 5). Around 4,500 volumes from almost all departments will be on offer, in particular from the humanities, linguistics, literature, art and economics.

The proceeds from the book bazaar are used to purchase new information media.
