• If you already have a library card, we kindly ask you to have it "rewritten" at the counter of the Local Lending Department. To do this, we only need your old combined service/library card or library card.
• If you do not yet have a library card, please apply for your library card using the application form before you visit the University Library. In the first step, you will be asked to enter your e-mail address. Once you have successfully confirmed your e-mail address, the registration process will continue with the entry of your personal details.
  Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a registration code which you can use to collect your library card in person from the desk at the Local Lending Department. Please bring the following with you:
  • Your identity card or passport with a confirmation of registration from the residents' registration office (registration certificate), which must not be older than 1 year, or another valid official identity document with photo and address details
  • proof of your former employment

If the library card is not collected within 30 days, the registration will be cancelled automatically.

Each card must be activated once before it can be used for the first time. This can be done on the login page of the catalogue via 'Activate account now'.

You set the password for your user account when you activate your user account.

• Change password
  You can access your library account via the University Library catalogue and change your password under the menu item 'My account'.
• Forgotten password
  If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it on the login page of the University Library catalogue under 'I forgot my password'.

Please have your new address updated in the library at the desk of the Local Lending Department .

You can change your e-mail address in the library account via the library catalogue.

If you lose your library card, please always inform the staff of the library's Local Lending Department immediately so that your library account can (initially) be blocked to prevent misuse by third parties. If you have lost your library card or it is damaged, you can have a new card issued for a fee.
